The Master of Islamic Jurisprudence and its Foundations program at AGU aims to enhance students’ understanding of Islamic jurisprudence principles and rulings, focusing on legal rules and primary sources. It cultivates advanced research skills using modern methodologies and enables students to address contemporary social, economic, and cultural issues from a jurisprudential perspective. The program includes analyzing differences between various jurisprudential schools, deepening understanding of jurisprudential principles, and developing practical skills for applying these rulings in daily life. It prepares students to issue correct Islamic legal opinions (fatwas) and equips them for leadership roles in religious, educational, and community institutions.
