Program Description
The Master of Islamic creed (Aqidah) program at AGU aims to deepen students’ understanding of fundamental Islamic theological concepts such as Tawhid, belief in prophets, Destiny and Last Day, while also developing their advanced research skills using modern methodologies. It equips students to critically analyze religious and intellectual texts within their historical and social contexts and prepares them to address contemporary intellectual challenges with scientifically enlightened responses rooted in Islamic creed. The program trains students for teaching positions in academic institutions, promotes community awareness of Aqidah’s significance, and contributes to the development of Islamic thought through research and publications. Additionally, it prepares students for leadership roles in religious and community institutions and enables them to contribute to advanced academic studies through teaching, participating in scientific conferences, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
